Last month, the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) and Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA) held a joint event to celebrate fourth year CMCC interns transitioning into the profession: Beyond the Finish Line – a Social for CMCC’s Class of 2024.
Attendees were joined by guest speaker, Dr. Dwight Chapin, BSc(H), DC, an award-winning practitioner, Clinic Director of High Point Wellness Centre, On-site Clinician for Globe and Mail employees, and Team Chiropractor for the Toronto Argonauts, as well as his associate, Dr. Lauren Baistrocchi, who shared her journey as a new graduate. Dr. Chapin also generously donated a new copy of his book Take Good Care: 7 Wellness Rituals for Health, Strength & Hope to all attendees.
“We had a great turnout, and it was wonderful to collaborate with the OCA and CCPA to host this event. It’s important to support new graduates as they are the future of the chiropractic profession. Networking events like this help build community; they also give us a platform to let new chiropractors know a little bit more about our associations and meet with us in person to ask any questions they might have.” – Dr. Ayla Azad.
A special thank you to our OCA and CCPA co-hosts for collaborating with us on this event and the attendees who joined us (including the CMCC clinicians that came out to support their interns).
